Watermelon Lemonade BBQ

Watermelon with a twist
Start the barbecue, put the chicken on and get out that blender.

With all this sunshine, one could use a cold beverage to melt his or her thirst away. Well, that's what I'm doing right now.

This Watermelon Lemonade beverage blew me away with how fantastic it was. As per usual I am using a found recipe using my Pinterest account that linked to Recipes to Nourish's blog and gave it blended attempt. Immediately I was amazed at how delicious this beverage was and did not even change a single ingredient. The only thing I did change would be the quantity of some of the ingredients.

It's not baby food - It's soup

Calling all vegetarians out there: This one's for you.

All packed up and ready to take for lunch tomorow
Not only vegetarians can enjoy this super healthy Cauliflower, Carrot and Ginger Soupeveryone can enjoy it.

I find this soup is fresh, filling and nutrient-packed. I really never thought about blending vegetables in a blender to eat as a puree until I found this great recipe that can be found on my Pinterest account.

Quick: Smoothie-to-go

Just a quick blog about one of my famous smoothies that I choose to make when I'm on the go. This quick meal (or snack) never seems to let me down whether it be on my way to school, to a meeting, or in my case right now, to Huntsville.

Ingredients to toss in the blender:

1 cup of vanilla-flavoured almond milk
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
1 full banana
1 handful of mixed frozen berries

Turn that blender on and boom! A smoothie-to-go.

Give it a whirl, everyone. Have a healthy Saturday.

Winter blues-berry ice cream

Sometimes you can’t help but daydream about those hot summer days where you’d be caught cooling off with a cold treat.

Well, fight those winter blues! You can enjoy this cold, healthy blueberry treat all year long.

Topped with frozen blueberries
Give your body the nutrients it needs during the day and eat blueberries to provide antioxidants.

I enjoy this blueberry ice cream recipe because it can be easily made and you don’t feel like you shouldn’t be eating it (unlike other fatty ice creams out there.)

Sun-dried tomato hummus
I know I'm ready to make some good memories with some good people this week off of school... Are you?

Beet-utiful Breakfast

Part of starting your day means beginning with ingredients that will give you the energy that you need.
With trying a few smoothies, I have decided to share Cynthia Paquella's P.I.N.K Method Drink called, "Pink Drink #3."
These ingredients were chosen in her smoothie recipes because they are "fat burning, energy boosting, cleansing and alkalizing. "

Creative, quick and easy

The alarm goes off. You have 10 minutes to get ready and there is no time to make an egg sandwich or an omelette. There is time, though, to make a smoothie that will still start your day with some much-needed protein.

I am writing this blog, as my first blog, to let you know why I have chosen to create a blog on the well-known product called “the blender.”

I am not a chef. I am not a nutritionist. But, I am a student who has an imagination and is living in the beginning years of school away from home. Not only does this time of a student’s life mean that there is no one telling when or when not to be home, it also means that what they do and do not eat is up to them.

Living on my own the first four years of university and college have really changed my attention on what I eat and how to create it.

I didn’t realize cooking creatively would be a challenge. I just thought it appeared on my plate magically after all these years…OK? I mean who would have thought it would take so much manpower and skill to produce such a delicious concoction of foods?

This is when I began to think of creative ways to indulge – Creatively, quickly and easily.

I have chosen to blog on blending foods because of the creative, easy and tasteful meals or add-ons that can be produced from the blender. I have also developed a passion for food, beverages and healthy eating along the way.

From one student to another (or one person to another) I hope readers can find an idea mixed into my blog that will satisfy their thoughts and provide them with recipes to try.
